Spring Break!

What is spring break you ask?!?! Well, as a BYU student unfortunately I don't have much experience with it. Spring break doesn't actually exist here. Instead we take finals. Hahaha, the sun is finally shining, the snow has melted, the trees are beginning to bud. There is the smell of sun and flowers throughout the air. Its about this time that I start to feel the itch. I've been in school since last July...thats ten months. My brain and my body are starting to revolt. All I want is a trampoline, a glass of fresh lemonade, and my backyard in Wisconsin to lounge in. But instead BYU decides its time for finals. Hours upon hours studying, trying to recall what I learned back in January, trying to keep some sanity in my life. This semester is particularly rough. With the wedding plans well underway, and Dan only living a block away from me . . . its getting progressively more difficult to concentrate on anything else. So what do you think we did?!? We had our own personal spring break. We took a day off and decided to enjoy the sunshine in one last hoorah before buckling down to study for finals. Dan was adorable. He took work off and planned the entire day! We left after my class from 12-1, and headed up to the mountains. We stopped in Heber, ate at Dairy Keen (better known as "the Train") then visited one of Dan's great uncles. Then we went fishing. Neither of us actually caught anything, but I did hook a fish. It was huge . . . at least compared to the little bluegills we always caught in WI. :) it was super exciting, I wanted so badly to catch a fish!! But then...it jumped out of the water and slipped off of my hook. I was kind of disappointed, but we still had tons of fun. After that we went to Park City. We saw historic Main Street, and visited the Outlets. Dan and I just enjoyed each others company, it didn't matter a whole lot to either of us what we actually did. We went to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory . . . it was delicious!!! And then we looked through travel books in the bookstore of all the places we want to visit together. It was a blast and it was nice to relax before craziness breaks loose as preparations for finals start!!

In Heber - The food was awesome!!

Dan . . . contemplating the meaning of life through the eyes of a French Fry.

All geared up and ready to go!!

Fishy . . . why are you sleeping?!? - name the movie :)

Me and my best friend! I love this boy!!

. . . Pretty much sums up how I feel every single day that I get to spend with Dan.

  1. I'm just going to start by saying I'm LOVING all the posting lately!!! Then I'll say looks like a blast of a Spring Break!! Then I'll tell you that our Spring Break is next week ALL.WEEK.LONG! Now I'll tell you that we are going to St. George for part of it. And then, too bad that fish out weighed your hook! And finally I have to stop rambling because Seth, who is now 3 weeks old, needs a diaper change, food and bath! Love you!!!
